Job summary

Red Pipe LLC is seeking a Travel Plaza Clerk to oversee daily operations, greet customers, process payments, stock shelves, and maintain the cash drawer balance. This role supports the Travel Plaza Manager and contributes to a clean, organized, customer-focused environment.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED and cash handling or retail experience, with strong communication skills and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with needs or questions to ensure satisfactory service.
• Conduct a physical count of drawer at start and end of shift; verify monies, receipts, and transactions.
• Ensure all paperwork is correct, signed and verified by supervisor.
• Stock shelves, organize, and straighten items for a presentable store appearance.
• Maintain inventory levels and communicate low stock to Manager for ordering.
• Maintain good attendance and report to work on time per policy.
• Assist in resolving customer and employee concerns promptly and professionally.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Travel Plaza Clerk

Position Summary:

Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Travel Plaza. They complete many duties in order to maintain the Travel Plaza, which include attending to and assisting customers, accepting payments, stocking the shelves and maintaining station organization, preparing any hot food and maintaining the balance of the cash drawer.

Essential Duties:

• Ensures satisfactory customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with any needs or questions.
• Conducts a physical count of drawer at beginning and end of assigned shift and verify all monies, receipts, and transactions made.
• Ensures all paperwork is correct, signed and verified by attending supervisor.
• Stocks store shelves, organizes, and straightens items to maintain a presentable appearance to the customers.
• Maintains proper levels of inventory, communicates low inventory levels to the Manager for ordering.
• Maintains proper attendance in accordance with internal policy. Reports to work on time, and/or provides adequate notice to supervisor prior to absence or lateness in accordance with policy.
• Assists in resolving customer and employee concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• Cash handling experience, previous cashier experience preferred.
• Prior retail experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must possess excellent communication skills.
• Must be knowledgeable of merchandise in store and available for any training deemed necessary.
• Ability to communicate verbally in English.
• Understand and comply with all Company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
• The ability to follow instruction and have the ability to perform assigned tasks under limited supervision.
• Must be able to effectively work alone and or with other employees in a team environment.
