INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR. NOT AN EMPLOYEE.

We aren't offering a typical desk job but an opportunity to build your travel business with us.It is not a call center, and there is no clock to punch. You will not have a manager or supervisor breathing down your neck to meet specific deadlines, but youwillhave clients with expectations you must manage and satisfy.

This is anentirely remote rolefor US Residents that you would fulfill on your timetable, working with clients as needed and able. Some of our agents are stay-at-home moms, while others have full-time jobs and do travel planning during other parts of their day. Whether part-time or full-time, it's not a big deal to us. What matters is that providing excellent service causes your clients to want to return repeatedly for their travel experiences.

Upon initial consultation with clients or potential clients, you wouldmanage their expectationsregarding the proposal turnaround time and then proactively craft itineraries tailored to their travel style, preferences, desires, and budget. How you meet with them is also your choice - either in person, by phone, or through an online meeting. As an independent contractor, you set your chosen working style in motion.

We are aUnited States-based travel agencywith agents located in multiple states across the country. We sell travel experiences to residents of the U.S. only. Wonderful Adventures Travel Group does not offer its travel experts any geographically protected territories or regions, so marketing to your clients in other states is acceptable.

The position iscommission-based,and you are paid a commission split after the client's travel is completed. Lag times between booking a trip and the client departing on that trip can be lengthy at times, so it's best to work at having many things in your pipeline all the time!

We will provide initialtraining, and you will have the opportunity for self-guidedcontinuing education, including monthly team calls, occasional in-person team gatherings, and an annual retreat experience. Everyone coming onboard enjoys a monthly 1:1 meeting with our Owner & Chief Experience Officer during the first six (6) months of their time with us.

Having a computer with an internet connection is critical to your success. Along with a mobile phone, you will also need some quiet space where you can dedicate time to this travel opportunity.

To be successful, you should have a few skills to be considered for this role, but please don't assume you need everything on this list.   • Proven experience as a traveler, with a valid passport.
  • Excellent knowledge of computer systems, including email and CRM functionality
  • Organizational and time management skills are critical
  • Strong sales skills and commercial awareness are ideal
  • Ability to interact, communicate, and negotiate effectively
  • Sound knowledge of domestic and international travel trends
  • The ability to persuade through compelling mental imagery and storytelling is a plus
  • Fluency in English; multilingualism is a plus
  • Having personal travel experience will be considered an advantage

Role Description

This exciting remote opportunity is for US Residents only. It offers both full-time and part-time options for enthusiastic candidates across the US (excluding California, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico). We can't wait to see your passion for travel shine!

The Travel Planning Expert will manage travel arrangements, provide excellent customer service, and ensure all travel plans meet clients' needs and desires. Tasks include communicating with clients to understand their travel preferences, booking transportation and accommodation, and handling any travel-related issues that may arise. The role also involves staying updated on travel trends and regulations to provide the best possible service.

  • Experience in Travel Arrangements and Travel Management
  • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills
  • Knowledge of international Travel requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Familiarity with travel booking software and online tools
  • Previous experience in the travel industry is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Travel, Tourism, Hospitality, or related field, or similar work experience

Role Compensation

This is a fully commission-based, independent contractor position, paid on a 1099 basis.
