Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel PICU RN for a 12-week assignment in Phoenix, AZ. This travel RN role offers the opportunity to deliver advanced pediatric critical care to critically ill patients in a high-acuity setting, with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of PICU experience, an active RN license, and current BLS and PALS certifications. Travel requirements include 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• One year of recent PICU RN experience.
• Current RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to pediatric patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments for pediatric patients.
• Operate advanced medical equipment (ventilators, central lines, monitors).
• Monitor patient conditions and notify physicians of changes.
• Interpret vital signs and intervene when needed.
• Respond to life-saving situations in pediatric ICU settings.
• Educate patients and families about care plans.
• Document patient assessments in medical records.
• Perform additional duties within scope of practice.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
