Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Travel Nurse RN for PICU in Mesa, AZ. This role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and BLS/PALS certifications.

The travel assignment features 12-hour night shifts and a 36-hour work week with competitive pay. The PICU RN will provide critical pediatric care, collaborate with physicians and families, and support monitoring and treatments in a fast-paced pediatric ICU setting.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' recent acute care experience
• PICU experience preferred
• Must have BLS and PALS certifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' vital signs and initiate corrective action as needed
• Follow cardiac and respiratory monitor readings (EKG, O2, CVP/arterial lines) and report changes
• Assist with procedures and line insertions (IVs, catheters, arterial lines)
• Manage ventilators and other PICU equipment
• Collaborate with physicians, families and care team to deliver pediatric critical care
