Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a PICU RN to join hospital teams in Cleveland. The role requires an active Ohio or compact RN license and at least 1 year of PICU experience, with current BLS/ACLS/PALS and NIHSS preferred.

You will provide specialized care to infants through young adults in the pediatric ICU and rotate day/night shifts. The position offers competitive pay, benefits from Day 1, and a structured assignment horizon with 18 months maximum before a break.

Qualifications

• Active OH RN license or compact license in hand.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; NIHSS preferred.
• Minimum 1 year combined permanent experience in the PICU specialty required.
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required.
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with passing scores

Responsibilities

• PICU unit in a hospital setting caring for patients from infancy up to age 25
• Experience with epilepsy monitoring, EKGs, and inotropes
• Rotating day/night shifts (3x12 hours), 7:00-19:30 or 19:00-7:30
• Shifts may be adjusted to meet operational needs of the hospital
• Required to work at least every other holiday
• Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric and young adult ICU patients
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Nurses are temporarily exempt from the facility's nicotine-free policy
• Permanent and per diem candidates must wait 1 year from previous end date before returning to Cleveland Clinic hospitals
• Assignments capped at 18 consecutive months, followed by a required 6-month break before returning
