Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week travel assignment in Weirton, West Virginia. As part of our clinical team, you will help implement treatment plans, assist with exercises, and support patient mobility and independence under a Physical Therapist's supervision.

Qualifications

• Valid WV PTA license.
• BLS certification required.
• PTA graduate of accredited program preferred; new grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Set up therapy equipment and prepare treatment areas.
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises and transfers with hands-on assistance.
• Record patient progress and updates in the medical record.
• Instruct patients on home exercise programs for mobility and safety.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists and other healthcare staff for comprehensive care.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards during sessions.
• Participate in discharge planning and ongoing patient progress.
• Engage in quality assurance and professional development activities.
• Perform other duties within scope of practice.
