Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Gulfport, MS. You will evaluate patients and develop and execute plans of care in the acute care setting, with 35 hours per week over a 13-week assignment.

Requires at least 6 months experience; 1 year preferred. BLS and state licensure required. Must be able to stand and walk long periods and have solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience; 1 year preferred unless strongly qualified.
• BLS certification and state PT license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting following facility guidelines
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment and evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated by patient condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation per state and/or insurer guidelines
