Job summary

Med Ninjas is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Urbana, Illinois. The position supports a 17‑week assignment with 40 hours per week and 8‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating orthopedic and neurological patients, assessing mobility and function, developing individualized care plans, and documenting progress in the EMR. A valid IL PT license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Active Licensed Physical Therapist (Illinois) required.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
• Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic and neurological conditions across all age groups.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including range of motion, strength, mobility, and functional performance.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs, limitations, and goals.
• Modify treatment plans as needed in response to patient progress and clinical evidence.
• Safely perform patient transfers and demonstrate proper body mechanics.
• Apply therapeutic taping and modalities (e.g., ultrasound, interferential, iontophoresis) as appropriate.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to achieve established treatment goals.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, students, and healthcare providers.
• Screen patients for therapy effectiveness and ongoing needs.
• Supervise and guide support personnel in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Accurately complete daily documentation and billing in the therapy EMR system.
• Maintain clinical documentation per policy requirements.
• Communicate patient progress and recommendations with referring providers.
• Foster a respectful, empathetic, and patient-centered care environment.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff and students.
