Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare is seeking a Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Lanham, MD. Start date is 10/12/2026 for 13 weeks, with a weekly pay range of $2,653–$2,830 and guaranteed 35 hours per week. Shifts are 5x8 Days, 08:00–16:30, in a skilled nursing facility setting.

Travel assignment includes professional support and potential extension discussions. Licensed DPT in good standing (or eligibility) is required, with experience in geriatric rehab preferred.

Qualifications

• DPT degree required and active Maryland PT license in good standing (or eligibility).
• Experience in geriatric rehabilitation or SNF settings preferred.
• Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents’ PT needs and develop individualized treatment plans in the SNF setting.
• Implement interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, and independence.
• Provide gait training, therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and device instruction as indicated.
• Reassess progress, adjust plans, and document outcomes in EHR.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize care and discharge planning.
• Maintain safety, infection control, and patient-care standards; educate patients and families.
