Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 5-week assignment in Roanoke, VA. The role offers travel-friendly benefits and a chance to impact patient care in a hospital, clinic, or rehab setting.

Requirements include a valid Physical Therapy license and current BLS certification. A Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred, with new grads welcome to apply, and the position requires 40 hours per week on a standard 8-hour shift.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) is required.
• Doctorate degree in physical therapy is preferred; new grads welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical conditions to identify functional limitations and treatment needs.
• Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessments and goals.
• Implement therapy plans to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Operate and maintain PT equipment safely and effectively.
• Document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other professionals for coordinated care.
• Educate patients on home exercise programs and safety strategies.
• Maintain a safe environment by following infection control and regulatory standards.
• Support discharge planning for smooth transitions to home or community settings.
