Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Long Term Care setting, requiring 1 year of PT experience with LTC or Rehab background.

• 13-week assignment in a Long Term Care (LTC) facility
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 35 guaranteed weekly hours
• No weekend or on-call requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of PT experience required
• New grads considered if Level II clinical experience completed (Level I observation does not qualify)
• LTC or Rehab setting experience required
• Active OK state PT license required (license required if applicable)
• Compact license not accepted
• One reference required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care needs
• Develop and adjust individualized plans of care using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
• Administer treatments including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercise, modalities, and use of assistive devices
• Provide consultation to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders
• Communicate with supervisors and interdisciplinary team regarding patient progress and treatment plans
• Complete comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, and in-services
• Supervise physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students as needed
• Adhere to APTA standards and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
• Maximum of 5 days of requested time off during the assignment
