Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Therapy is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Charleston, West Virginia. The role offers 40 hours per week, dayshift, and a hospital/clinical setting with comprehensive benefits.

Requirements include an active Physical Therapy license, current BLS certification, and a willingness to travel. Preferred qualifications include a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and openness to new grads. Travel pay and robust support are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Doctorate degree in physical therapy (preferred).
• New grads are welcome to apply (preferred).
• Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using tests and history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs.
• Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals.
• Implement treatment plans to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Operate and maintain PT equipment and modalities safely.
• Document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and self-management.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards during therapy sessions.
• Engage in professional development to stay current with best practices in physical therapy.
• Assist with discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients.
