Cross Country Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapy Assistant for a travel job in Concord, Massachusetts. The assignment provides outpatient rehabilitation support under the direction of a Physical Therapist, focusing on strengthening, mobility, and functional training.

Start: 11/23/2026; duration through 02/22/2027; 40 hours weekly, days shift. The role requires a PT degree, CAPTE certification, at least 1 year outpatient experience, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school
• CAPTE certification
• At least 1 year of outpatient clinical experience
• CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment goals, plans, and programs established by the Physical Therapist.
• Provides therapeutic interventions, including strengthening, endurance training, balance exercises, coordination exercises, joint mobility, pain relief, and functional skills training.
• Trains patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, canes, crutches, walkers, and wheelchairs.
• Demonstrates guarding, gait belt use, and assistive-device techniques.
• Applies modalities such as hot/cold packs, paraffin baths, therapeutic ultrasound, iontophoresis, fluidotherapy, and therapeutic pools.
• Monitors patient responses, documents progress, and provides patient and family education.
• Maintains safe, clean treatment areas and follows infection-control procedures.
• Participates in team conferences, quality-improvement activities, and collaboration with other healthcare disciplines.
• Assignment dates are 11/23/2026 through 02/22/2027.
