Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a traveling Physical Therapist for a 13-week, 40-hour-per-week assignment in Worcester, MA. The PT will evaluate patients in an acute care setting and develop a plan of care, supervising PTAs and coordinating with physicians to ensure a team-based approach.

Requirements include 1 year of PT experience (6 months may be considered for strong candidates), and current BLS and state licensure.

Qualifications

• 1 year of PT experience preferred; for exceptional candidates with strong background, 6 months may be accepted.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop a plan of care for patients in the acute care setting.
• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff.
• Bill within the setting following facility guidelines.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-focused plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment and modify plan of care as patient condition changes.
• Use hospital computer systems and document per state/insurance guidelines.
