Job summary

Gilder Search Group is hiring a Travel Physical Therapist for acute care in Milford, MA. The role requires a Massachusetts PT license and at least one year of experience in acute care settings. You will evaluate patients, design plans of care, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support recovery and safe discharge.

Position is 40 hours per week, dayshift, 13-week contract with start dates in late September/October 2026. Travel and local candidates are considered; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience.
• Active Massachusetts PT license is required.
• Experience with adult and geriatric patients.
• Local and travel candidates accepted.
• Experience with acute care patients in Orthopedics, ICU, Oncology, and Neurology.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized plans of care.
• Provide physical therapy treatment to acute care patients.
• Perform assessments, reassessments, and functional mobility evaluations.
• Provide gait training and assist with safe transfers and mobility.
• Develop and document short- and long-term goals.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and adjust plans of care as needed.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support patient recovery and safe discharge.
