Job summary

Alpha Home Health and Hospice is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist to evaluate, develop, and implement individualized plans of care for diverse patient populations in an acute care setting.

The role includes supervising PTAs, handling billing within facility guidelines, ensuring state PT regulation compliance, collaborating with medical staff, and adjusting treatment plans based on patient progress and needs. Knowledge of adaptive equipment and medical terminology is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of professional experience (new grads encouraged).
• Current state licensure and BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Additional certifications (e.g., ABPTS) may be required prior to assignment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervision of PTAs and support staff
• Perform billing activities within facility guidelines
• Ensure compliance with state-specific PT regulations
• Collaborate with medical personnel to develop team-oriented care plans
• Assess patient needs, evaluate progress, and modify treatment plans accordingly
• Utilize medical documentation systems and ensure accurate, timely record-keeping
