Job Summary
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Summersville, West Virginia.

Hours: 40 per week, 8‑hour shifts

Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs.
- Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals.
- Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain.
- Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration.
- Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management strategies.
- Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols and regulatory standards.
- Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to stay current with best practices.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to community or home settings.
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy license in the state of West Virginia, in compliance with state regulations.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/ARC).
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctorate degree in physical therapy.
- Previous experience in hospitals, clinics, or rehabilitation centers; new graduates welcome.
- Additional certifications or licenses as required for the position.
