Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate, develop, and execute a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in an acute care setting.

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within facility guidelines
• Comply with state PT board rules and regulations
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Use adaptive equipment and medical center computer systems for daily tasks
• Evaluate and create a plan of care, and modify it as indicated based on patient condition
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and insurance guidelines

Requirements

• Must have 6 months experience; new graduates encouraged. • BLS and state-specific licensing required. • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean or stoop for extended periods. • Solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Additional certifications: BLS, ABPTS, minimum 2 years; additional certifications may be required before assignment.
