Job Summary: Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist for a 18-week travel assignment in Tyler, Texas. Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in physical therapy
• Physical Therapy experience (new grads welcomed)
• Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position

Essential Work Functions

• Evaluate patients' physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment need
• Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals
• Implement PT treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain
• Operate specialized PT equipment and modalities safely and effectively, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration of devices
• Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
• Work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimize treatment outcomes
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, proper body mechanics, injury prevention strategies, and self-management techniques to promote long‑term functional recovery
• Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards while addressing patients' comfort needs during therapy sessions
• Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices in PT
• Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continued patient progress in community or home‑based settings
• Perform other duties within scope of practice

Required Essential Skills

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
• Physical Abilities – Must be able to remain stationary, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
• Interpersonal Skills – Must work effectively with professionals and maintain professionalism
• Technical/Motor Skills – Must grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and assist with procedures
• Mental Requirements – Must cope with frequent contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work without assistance, handle irregular schedules, and sustain concentration to detail
• Sensory – Must possess visual acuity and effective communication
