Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a Travel Physical Therapist for a 17-week assignment in Lancaster, PA. You will evaluate and implement a comprehensive plan of care for diverse acute care patients, supervise PTAs and support staff, bill as appropriate, and collaborate with physicians to ensure a team-focused plan of care.

Requirements include a minimum of 6 months of PT experience (1 year preferred), BLS and state licensure.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 6 months of PT experience; 1 year preferred.
• BLS certification and state licensing required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Lancaster, PA. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.

Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
