Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in York, PA. Immediate opening with 13 weeks duration and 35 hours per week. Start date 12/01/2026. 7 hour shifts during the day in acute care settings.

The PT will evaluate and develop a plan of care for diverse patient populations, coordinating with staff and physicians to support patient outcomes. Must have BLS and state licensing; 6 months experience required.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of PT experience; 1 year preferred; new grads encouraged.
• BLS certification required; state-specific licensing.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians).
• Bill within the respective setting, following facility guidelines.
• Understand the PT board's rules and state regulations.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-based plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment for patients.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care.
• Modify plan of care as patient condition changes.
• Use Medical Center computer systems in daily tasks.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state/insurance guidelines.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in York, PA. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.

Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
