Job Summary:
Physical Therapist (PT) Inpatient position located in an acute care hospital setting. The role involves evaluating and treating adult patients with various medical and surgical conditions, primarily focusing on trauma, neuro, ortho, surgical, critical care, oncology, and general medical cases. The position offers a fast-paced environment with a focus on achieving quality patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with alternating weekends; a compensatory day is provided during the week for any weekend shifts worked.
- Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist; minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting; ability to work in an inpatient acute care environment; availability to start on 09/28/2026 and work through 12/21/2026; acceptable for new graduates with strong adult acute clinical experience including trauma and critical cases.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Meditech electronic medical record system; familiarity with treating trauma and critical care patients; experience in acute hospital settings.
- Additional Information: The primary area of coverage is acute care for Bryan hospital, with potential minimal coverage at another local hospital. Orientation includes hospital protocols, EMR system training, and all procedures over 3-5 days depending on experience. Call outs are strongly discouraged and may lead to termination. The facility is a Level III trauma center, treating mostly adults and older teens, with no pediatric cases.
- Certifications: BLS certification required.
- Shift Notes: 10s; shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with alternating weekends; a day off is granted during the week for weekend work.
