Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Fox Lake, Illinois. The PT will evaluate patients in the acute care setting and develop a plan of care in collaboration with the care team.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of PT experience (6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates), BLS certification, and state licensure. Travel therapy offers weekly pay, guaranteed hours, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians).

• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians on plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment and implement it as needed.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care; modify as needed.

• Provide timely and accurate documentation per state/insurance guidelines.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Fox Lake, IL. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Requirements*

BLS, 1 Year* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
