Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for an 13-week assignment in West Orange, NJ. The PT will evaluate and implement a plan of care for diverse patient populations in the acute care setting, supervising staff and ensuring compliant documentation.

We require at least 6 months of PT experience (1 year preferred); new grads are welcome to apply if they have the required license and BLS. The role demands the ability to stand, walk, bend, and use state-specific regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time and to bend, lean or stoop as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff.
• Bill within the respective setting per facility guidelines.
• Comply with state PT board rules and regulations.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-based plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment and evaluate and create a plan of care.
• Modify plan of care as patient condition changes.
• Use hospital computer systems for daily tasks and documentation.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in West Orange, NJ. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements. As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements
