Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in West Orange, New Jersey. The PT will evaluate, develop, and execute a plan of care for diverse patient populations in the acute care setting and supervise PTAs and staff within the facility.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 months of travel or clinical experience, with BLS and state licensing. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology is required.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• PTs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff.
• Bill within the respective setting following facility guidelines.
• Interface with medical center personnel and physicians to ensure team-based plan of care.
• Understand and apply PT board rules and regulations in the state.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care; modify as patient condition changes.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation per state/insurance guidelines.

The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted.
