Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Silver Spring, MD. The role offers 40 hours per week in an 8-hour shift with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

You will evaluate and treat patients across hospital, clinic, and rehab settings, working with a multidisciplinary team to promote mobility and independence. The ideal candidate holds a valid Physical Therapy license with BLS certification; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Maryland or applicable state.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) is required.
• Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred but not mandatory for all applicants.
• Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using tests, examinations, and history to identify needs.
• Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and goals.
• Implement treatment plans to improve mobility and reduce pain using evidence-based methods.
• Operate PT equipment safely and maintain calibration as needed.
• Document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercises and injury prevention.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following protocols and standards.
• Engage in quality assurance and professional development activities.
• Assist in discharge planning for transitions to home or community settings.
