Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a Physical Therapist for an immediate travel opening in Macon, GA. The PT will evaluate, develop, and execute plans of care for diverse patient populations in the acute care setting, supervising PTAs and staff as needed.

Required: 6 months of PT experience (6 months accepted for strong backgrounds), current PT license, and BLS. The role includes a 13-week travel assignment at 40 hours per week with competitive pay and tax-free stipends to be determined.

• BLS certification required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; good anatomy knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee PTAs and therapy staff; ensure timely documentation.
• Bill within the facility per setting guidelines.
• Coordinate with physicians to implement a plan of care.
• Evaluate and modify plans of care based on patient condition.
• Use hospital systems to document and track patient progress.

The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facilityUnderstand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective stateInterface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of careUnderstand adaptive equipmentEvaluate and create a plan of careModify plan of care as indicated based on patient's conditionUse Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasksProvide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

RequirementsMust have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
