Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Columbia, SC. The position is 32 hours per week, with 8-hour days. The PT will supervise PTAs, manage documentation, and coordinate care with Medical Center teams.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of PT experience (6 months may be considered), BLS and state licensure. Benefits and travel support are provided by TotalMed Allied.

Qualifications

• 1 year of PT experience preferred; exceptional candidates with 6 months may be considered.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• Able to stand/walk for long periods and have solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff.
• Bill within the setting according to facility guidelines.
• Adhere to state PT board rules and regulations.
• Coordinate with Medical Center staff and physicians on plan of care.
• Work with adaptive equipment as needed.
• Evaluate and create a care plan; modify as patient condition changes.
• Utilize hospital computer systems for daily tasks.
• Provide timely documentation per state/insurance guidelines.

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Columbia, South Carolina.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Columbia, SC. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

As a PT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.

Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
