Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for an immediate travel opening in Etters, PA. The PT will evaluate, develop, and execute a plan of care for diverse patient populations in the acute care setting while supervising PTAs and coordinating with physicians.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of experience (6 months may be considered for exceptional backgrounds), BLS, and PA licensing. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology is required for success

Qualifications

• PT must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• 1 year of experience; 6 months may be accepted for exceptional candidates.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and to bend, lean or stoop as needed.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff.
• Bill within the respective setting following guidelines.
• Comply with state PT board rules and regulations.
• Interface with Medical Center staff and physicians for plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment and use in patient care.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care; modify as needed.
• Use hospital EMR systems for daily tasks.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation per guidelines.

The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

RequirementsMust have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
