Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist in Springfield, Tennessee for a 13-week assignment starting ASAP. The position requires 40 hours per week, days, with an 8-hour shift.

Travel status includes benefits and a tax-free stipend; travel settings will include oversight ofPTAs and collaboration with physicians to deliver a team-based plan of care. Requirements include BLS, state licensing, and the ability to stand/walk for long periods.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience; new grads encouraged to apply.
• BLS and state-specific licensing.
• PTs must be able to stand and walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff.
• Bill within the respective setting following guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with PT board rules and regulations.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to implement team care plans.
• Understand adaptive equipment and evaluate plans of care.
• Modify plans of care as patient condition changes.
• Use Medical Center computer systems for daily tasks.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation per state/insurer guidelines.

Tasks

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience; new grads encouraged to apply
• BLS and state-specific licensing
• Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• BLS, 2 Years* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
