Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Siler City, NC. The PT will evaluate patients, develop and execute plans of care for diverse populations in acute care settings, and collaborate with the care team to ensure quality outcomes.

Requires 1 year of PT experience (6 months possible for exceptional candidates), BLS and state licensure. The position offers 7‑hour shifts over 35 hours weekly for an 18‑week duration.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; able to bend, lean or stoop as needed.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Siler City, NC. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facilityUnderstand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective stateInterface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of careUnderstand adaptive equipmentEvaluate and create a plan of careModify plan of care as indicated based on patient's conditionUse Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasksProvide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

• BLS, 2 Years* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
