Job summary

TotalMed Allied in Tarboro, NC is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist to join our acute care team for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate has 1 year of PT experience (exception: 6 months may be considered) and current BLS and state licensure. You will evaluate patients, develop plans of care, and collaborate with physicians to ensure effective, patient-centered therapy.

This travel role offers 40 hours per week, day shifts, and weekly pay with benefits through TotalMed Allied.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 6 months of PT experience; 1 year preferred.
• BLS and valid state-specific license are required.
• Able to stand/walk for long periods; good knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee PTAs and therapy staff.
• Bill using facility procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with state PT board rules and regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff to execute plans of care.
• Evaluate patients and create/modify plans of care as needed.
• Document timely and accurate notes per guidelines.

Job Description

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Tarboro, NC. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• BLS, 2 Years* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay & Conditions

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
