Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Physical Therapist for an immediate travel opening in Kalamazoo, MI. The PT will evaluate and develop a plan of care for acute care patients, working 35 hours per week on day shifts.

The right candidate will have 1 year of experience (6 months may be considered for exceptional cases); BLS and state licensing are required. The assignment lasts 13 weeks, with a tax-free stipend and weekly pay, and includes benefits through TotalMed Allied.

• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff.

• Modify plan of care as patient condition changes.
• Use Medical Center computer systems for daily tasks.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation per state/insurance guidelines.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Kalamazoo, MI. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

As a PT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.

Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Requirements*: BLS, 1 Year * Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
