Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Physical Therapist for an immediate travel opening in Meriden, CT. The PT will evaluate and implement a plan of care for diverse patient populations in the acute care setting, with shifts totaling 30 hours per week over 13 weeks.

This role requires at least 6 months of experience, BLS, and state licensure. The position involves supervising PTAs and collaborating with physicians and center staff to deliver a coordinated plan of care, while maintaining compliant

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians); bill within the respective setting following guidelines for the facility.
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, and comply within the state.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-focused plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment and evaluate and create a plan of care.
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient condition.
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
