Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week contract in El Paso, TX, providing acute and outpatient care. 1 year of recent PT experience and an active Texas PT license are required.

Typical day is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with weekend rotation in a hospital-based PT/OT/ST department; Meditech EMR is used. Bilingual Spanish skills are preferred due to a heavy Hispanic patient population.

Requirements

• Outpatient and acute care skill set required
• Must have no gaps in work history of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Acute and outpatient physical therapy services within a hospital-based PT/OT/ST department
• Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with weekend rotation
• Typical patient ratio is 5-6 patients in acute outpatient settings
• No call requirements
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Responsibilities include PT evaluations, reassessments, and treatments for both acute and outpatient populations
• Bilingual (Spanish) skills preferred due to heavy Hispanic patient population
• Best fit for energetic individuals able to work well with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Navy scrub color required; no crocs, visible tattoos, and facial hair must comply with CDC N95 guidelines
• Unit follows AIDET and ICARE service standards
• Local candidates will not be considered; a 50-mile radius rule applies
