Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking a Phlebotomist I (Float) to support a client office in Kannapolis, NC. The role includes patient registration, specimen collection, and processing, with the flexibility to float to nearby accounts as needed for coverage.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of phlebotomy experience, completion of a phlebotomy program, and current certification. The position involves independent work in a fast-paced environment and may require travel to surrounding locations.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Phlebotomy training program or equivalent education.
• Current Phlebotomy Certification required.
• Minimum 1-2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Experience performing venipuncture independently using straight and butterfly needles.
• Comfortable working in geriatric and hard-stick patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary collections using straight and butterfly needles.
• Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing.
• Draw up to 30-40 blood samples per day while maintaining patient comfort.
• Register patients and accurately enter demographics into the system.
• Label, process, package, and prepare specimens per lab procedures.
• Maintain documentation and comply with quality and safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare staff.
• Work independently in a client office setting and travel as needed.
