Job summary
Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Retail Pharmacist to dispense prescriptions, offer expert medication advice, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. As a Travel Pharmacist, you will rotate through Rite Aid locations, providing staffing support as needed and helping optimize pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities include MTM counseling, customer service, immunizations, inventory control, and regulatory adherence; the role requires collaboration with healthcare providers
Qualifications
- Pharm.D. degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid pharmacist license in California or ability to obtain.
- Retail pharmacy experience preferred; travel pharmacy experience a plus.
Responsibilities
- Dispensing medications: Accurately fill prescriptions based on physician orders, ensuring safety and quality.
- Medication counseling: Provide MTM to customers, advising on proper use and drug interactions.
- Customer service: Respond to inquiries, guidance on proper medication use and side effects.
- Health screenings and immunizations: Administer immunizations and conduct basic screenings.
- Inventory management: Monitor stock levels and ensure proper storage and handling.
- Regulatory compliance: Ensure practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations (HIPAA, documentation).
- Travel requirements: Rotate through Rite Aid locations to staff and support local teams.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers: Work with physicians and nurses to coordinate care.
- Training and mentorship: Assist in training staff and leading rotations.
