The position requires Virginia licensure, hospital experience, and proficiency with Dose Edge IV, Pyxis, and Meditech Vigilanz. Hours are 36 per week with 12-hour night shifts; travel compensation includes housing options and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Virginia State Pharmacist license is required.
• Hospital experience of at least 2 years in a hospital setting is required.
• Experience with complex patient populations (trauma, burn, critical care) is preferred.
• Proficiency with Dose Edge IV, Pyxis, and Meditech Vigilanz is required.
• Experience dosing Vancomycin AUC, aminoglycosides, renal dosing, warfarin, enoxaparin, electrolyte protocols, heparin and DOACs is expected.

Responsibilities

• Verify and compound IV medications.
• Medication verification and use of advanced protocols for medication management.
• Collaborate with hospital teams in a Level 1 Trauma Center and Stroke Center.

This role involves collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure safe medication practices and adherence to hospital policies.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Virginia State Pharmacist license; hospital experience of at least 2 years; skills in managing complex patients such as trauma, burn, or critical care; proficiency in Dose Edge IV Experience, Pyxis, Meditech Vigilanz; experience with Vancomycin AUC dosing, Aminoglycoside dosing, Renal dosing, warfarin, enoxaparin, electrolyte protocols, heparin, and DOACs.
• Schedule: Evenings 2:30 PM 7:00 AM; 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The Pharmacist will verify and compound IV medications, perform medication verification, and utilize advanced protocols for medication management.
