ALOIS Healthcare is seeking a travel Pharmacist for a 13-week assignment in Hebron, Nebraska. The role involves 40 hours per week with 10-hour daytime shifts, and requires ACPE-accredited education and Nebraska licensure, with PharmD preferred and 3 years of retail experience preferred.

You will provide specialized pharmaceutical services, dispense medications, advise on drug therapy, and mentor staff, while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from ACPE-accredited school and licensed via licensure exam.
• PharmD preferred.
• Three years of retail experience preferred.
• Requires good written and verbal communication.
• Current Nebraska license to practice pharmacy.

Responsabilités

• Provide specialized pharmaceutical services to improve drug usage and outcomes; advise on drug therapy and dosing; ensure adequate supplies are ordered and maintained.
• Prepare and dispense medications; oversee non-pharmacist staff; ensure orders are accurate and compliant with state/federal requirements.
• Maintain relationships with medical and nursing staff; provide information on drugs, usage, and regulations.
• Conduct medication use reviews; assess patient compliance and outcomes; instruct patients and make rounds with physicians.
• Individualize medication regimens considering pharmacodynamics and kinetics; improve pharmaceutical care delivery.
• Store medicinal products securely to maintain inventory per regulations.
• Respond to medication-related inquiries from hospital, other hospitals, and public.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA; keep up to date with drug knowledge.
• Write guidelines and bulletins; implement policies.
• Provide information on budgets and drug expenditures; process cash/credit transactions.
• Attend meetings and participate in facility/community committees.
• Mentor healthcare professionals in training; provide practical/didactic experiences.
• Provide monthly consulting to contracted LTC facilities.
