Responsibilities

• Verify orders and manage PharmacyOneSource queue for clinical alerts (pharmacokinetic/renal dosing).
• Perform specialized dosing: anticoagulation, geriatric, pediatric, high-alert meds; monitor therapy.
• Prepare IV meds including antibiotics; adhere to sterile techniques.
• Use dispensing systems for effective medication management.
• Provide pharmacotherapy management for cardiovascular, endocrine, infectious disease, pulmonary, renal issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct order verification and manage the PharmacyOneSource queue to address clinical alerts, including pharmacokinetic and renal dosing.
• Perform specialized dosing, including anticoagulation therapy, geriatric dosing, high-alert medication management, pediatric dosing, and therapeutic medication monitoring.
• Prepare intravenous medications, including antibiotics and compounding, while adhering to sterile techniques.
• Utilize medication dispensing systems for effective medication management.
• Provide pharmacotherapy management for various medical problems, including cardiovascular, endocrine, infectious disease, pulmonary, and renal issues.

Requirements

• Current Missouri state pharmacy license (pending applications accepted).
• Preferred certifications include BLS.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role is required.
• Knowledge and skills in drug shortage management and dosing in specialized areas.

Work Schedule

This position requires night shifts of 5x8-hour shifts, specifically from 20:30 to 04:30. Note: Overnight pharmacy coverage is limited to the pharmacist on staff, with no pharmacy technician present.
