Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Pharmacist Inpatient for a healthcare facility in Springfield, MO. This role involves overseeing central pharmacy operations, verifying medications, managing workflow, and ensuring proper medication checks, including IVs, premade IVs, creams, insulin pens, and more. The position supports a team of pharmacists and technicians in a fast‑paced hospital environment.

Job Details

• Position Description: Pharmacist with at least 1 year of experience or new graduates considered, responsible for product verification, medication checks, and workflow coordination in the central pharmacy setting.
• Required Qualifications: Missouri Pharmacist Licensure, BLS certification from AHA, 1 year of experience (or new graduate), working knowledge of electronic health records (EPIC).
• Shift: Evenings, 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM, 7on/7off Thursday through Wednesday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Use EPIC dispense prep to verify and check medications, kits, crash carts, prepack items, and other as needed. The pharmacist will oversee workflow and occasionally redirect pharmacy technicians but will not supervise other personnel. The assignment includes responsibilities aligned with managing pharmacy operations during FMLA coverages, with a high likelihood of extension based on performance. Training is expected to last 2-3 weeks, focusing on product verification procedures. On-site presence is required 100%.
