Job Summary:
Pharmacist Inpatient (PHARM IP) - Providing comprehensive pharmacy services in a busy facility offering inpatient care. The role involves dispensing medications, monitoring drug therapies, and ensuring patient safety across various clinical areas including ICU, emergency department, behavioral health unit, and orthopedic surgery. The position requires flexibility to work multiple shifts including days, evenings, and varying hours.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Multiple shifts available; varying day or evening shifts. Shifts can be 8, 10, or 12 hours depending on the day. Shift options include 7AM-3:30PM, 8AM-4:30PM, 1PM-9PM, 2PM-10PM, 7AM-5PM, 11AM-9PM, 12noon-10PM, 7AM-7PM, or 8AM-8PM. Minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Pharmacy state licensure in Louisiana, BLS certification via American Heart Association, and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification via American Heart Association is preferred.
• Additional Information: The pharmacist will prepare and dispense drug orders, interpret prescriptions, maintain accurate patient medication records, and participate in clinical consultations and medication safety activities. Licensure and continuing education compliance are required. The role involves supervision of pharmacy support personnel and participation in interdisciplinary team activities.
