Travel CNC Machinist

Location: Pontiac & Peoria, IL

Pay: $40/hr

Per Diem: $166/day (paid 7 days per week)

Shift: 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift, Weekend Shifts Available

Overview

We're hiring experienced CNC Machinists for a travel assignment in Central Illinois. This role requires travel and temporary relocation to support a major manufacturing operation producing high-precision engine components.

You'll work in a fast-paced production environment machining critical parts used in advanced fuel injection and emissions systems. Candidates should have experience with Fanuc and/or Siemens controls and be comfortable working to tight tolerances.

What You'll Be Doing

• Manufacture precision engine components including pistons, bypass pills, and DOC fittings.

• Operate and monitor CNC equipment in a high-volume production environment.

• Work with tight tolerances, including sub-micron applications.

• Make offsets, adjustments, and maintain quality standards throughout production.

Equipment Used

• Tsugami Swiss Lathe (5-axis, Fanuc controls)

• Robodrill CNC Mill (Fanuc controls)

• Bahmueller CNC Grinding Machines (Siemens controls with Fanuc robot cells)

Required Experience

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience (7+ preferred)

• Experience with Fanuc and/or Siemens controls

• Experience holding tight machining tolerances

• Experience in production-style machining environments

• Experience with CNC lathes, mills, or grinding equipment

Preferred Experience

• Swiss machining (Tsugami, Citizen, Star, Tornos, etc.)

• CNC grinding experience

• Robodrill machining centers

• High-precision or aerospace/medical device manufacturing

• Experience with sub-micron tolerances

Travel & Per Diem Information

• Must be willing to travel to Central Illinois for the assignment

• $40/hr plus $166/day per diem paid all 7 days

• Holiday pay included

• 6+ month contract opportunity

• 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
