Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT) for a travel assignment in Charleston, SC. The 13-week engagement requires 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts, delivering direct patient care across pediatric units.

The ideal candidate has NBRC-RRT, BLS, ACLS and 1 year of acute care experience; PALS/NRP may be required in some areas. Duties include procedures, documentation, and interdepartmental collaboration to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent acute care experience required.
• NBRC, BLS, NRP, PALS and ACLS certifications required; PALS/NRP may be required in some areas.
• TotalMed Allied travel assignment in Charleston, SC with 13 weeks duration.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for pediatric patients per guidelines.
• Administer respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain and document patient records.
• Clean, calibrate, and maintain equipment; report malfunctions.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples per procedures.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and staff to ensure continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.
