Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Charlottesville, VA. The role runs for 13 weeks with 48 hours per week, arranged as 12-hour day shifts.

The ideal candidate is a Peds-RRT with NBRC-RRT and current BLS/ACLS credentials and at least 1 year of acute care experience. As a Peds-RRT, you will deliver direct patient care, perform validations, and participate in team-based care to support pediatric patients.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent acute care experience.
• NBRC-RRT, BLS, and ACLS required; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients in various clinical areas according to procedural guidelines.
• Administer respiratory and cardiology modalities, as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate patient records/documentation.
• Calibrate, maintain and disinfect respiratory equipment; report malfunctions.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples per guidelines.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and other staff to optimize continuity of care.
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.
