Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist Registered RT PEDS provides respiratory care, pulmonary diagnostic testing, and cardiology diagnostic testing to patients across a variety of healthcare settings. The position manages mechanical ventilation, evaluates patient responses to treatment, collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals, and may supervise staff.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Associate or technical degree; proof of passing the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) examination as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); current state license as required by applicable law; Basic Life Support certification; Blood Gas Technologist certification for practice in Nevada; valid drivers license for home care assignments; Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card for eligible home care assignments; one year of clinical experience; knowledge of clinical techniques, applications, and respiratory care equipment; and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: Additional related education and/or experience.
• Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Weekend work is required. Responsibilities may include respiratory care, pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing, mechanical ventilator management, patient assessment, documentation, equipment maintenance, collaboration on care plans, and assignment across areas where respiratory care is needed. Physical demands may include frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, stretching, patient assistance, and lifting up to 75 pounds. Standard precautions are required when exposure to blood and bodily fluids is possible.
