Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Pediatric Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Willmar, Minnesota. This role requires 6 months of OT experience (new grads considered) with BLS and NBCOT-OTR certification and state licensure.

Expect 40 hours per week, 10-hour shifts, and responsibilities across evaluation, planning, and patient education in an acute care setting. Applicants should be prepared to assess patient needs, develop care plans, and educate families and employers.

Qualifications

• 6 months of OT experience required; new grads may apply.
• BLS and NBCOT-OTR certification with active state licensure.
• Willingness to stand and walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history and observe tasks.
• Evaluate patient condition and needs.
• Develop and implement treatment plans and goals.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and rehabilitation.
• Assess home or workplace for adaptations to support functioning.
• Educate patients' families and employers on care and accommodations.
• Recommend equipment and instruct on its use.
• Document progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting to physicians.
• Provide timely documentation following state and insurance guidelines.
