Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Pediatric ER RN for a travel assignment in Phoenix, AZ. Start date 02/01/2027 for 8 weeks at 36 hours per week on a 12-hour shift. You will provide emergency pediatric care, work with a multidisciplinary team, and enjoy a supportive travel-friendly environment.

Requirements include 1 year of Pediatric ER experience, valid RN license, BLS, and PALS or ENPC certification. Additional certifications like NRP are a plus. Benefits and competitive pay are offered.

Qualifications

• One year of Pediatric ER RN experience.
• Valid RN license per state regulations.
• BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patients and families in age-appropriate terms.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per pediatric protocols.
• Prepare and operate pediatric emergency equipment; assist physicians.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety in a busy ER setting.
• Perform pediatric vital signs, using age-appropriate methods.
• Respond promptly to pediatric emergencies (respiratory distress, trauma, arrest).
• Document assessments and outcomes in medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and teams for comprehensive care.
• Develop care plans with families addressing pediatric needs.
• Participate in quality improvement to enhance pediatric care.
• Perform other duties within scope of practice.
• Follow hospital safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.
