Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Room travel nurse to work in Norfolk, VA. The RN will evaluate, triage and implement pediatric care in a fast-paced ER, following physician orders and established protocols.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience with pediatric ER exposure. Certification in BLS, PALS and CPI is preferred or can be completed prior to starting the assignment.

Qualifications

• RN with 1–2 years of acute care experience.
• Pediatric ER experience preferred.
• BLS, PALS, CPI certifications required or may be obtained before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and triage pediatric patients following physician instructions.
• Provide care in a fast-paced emergency setting and document patient history.
• Record vital signs, allergies and medical history; monitor emotional and physical well‑being.
• Serve as a patient advocate and maintain privacy and confidentiality.
