American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU travel assignment in Austin, Texas. The role requires 18 months CVICU experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

The position features a 36-hour work week across 12-hour nights, with a 24-bed CVICU and overflow area. Benefits include travel and licensure reimbursements and day-one insurance options.

Qualifications

• TX or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 18 months Pediatric CVICU experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Nursys license verification within 30 days prior to start.
• US SSN and US home address required.
• Travel assignment with 36 hours/week and night shift.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU with a 24-bed unit and 12-bed overflow area.
• Patient population includes neonatal through young adult, with occasional adult congenital heart disease patients.
• Cases include congenital heart disease/defects, post-surgical repairs, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2 in ICU status and 1:3 in stepdown or non-ICU overflow.
• Night shift schedule: 18:45 to 07:15.
• Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric cardiac patients.
